Dr Malik's Mango Smoothie

Smoothies are a great source of nutrition especially when you are crunched for time. They are fast and easy to make, and convenient when you are on the go. A good blender makes a world of difference. Below is a list of the top three blenders I have found that make amazing smoothies:

(Tip: You can get 20% off a new blender at Bed Bath and Beyond by signing up to their email list)Smoothies, I find, are generally better than juicing as you don’t discard the fiber from the fruit and vegetables. This will help lower overall sugar levels and will help you feel fuller longer. Here is what goes inside my smoothie, use precise measurements as shown:

  1. Mangoes (handful)
  2. Pineapple (handful)
  3. Banana (half)
  4. Date (one)
  5. Organic Almond Milk (until full)
  6. Raw Organic Honey (one spoonful)
  7. Focus (immense)

After 30 seconds your smoothie is good to go! I usually have one around the noon hour before the afternoon workout.Enjoy!
